In modern world, it is a mentionable event that Raga Music & its Tune, Rhythm & Swara

elements, appear as a methodical cure [rescue], for a number of Physical & Mental
disorders. As the social situation is changing rapidly, in all aspect, some mental
problems become much acute in human life, due to enhancement of agonies, worries &
anxieties.

The Global Mental health foundation has introduced a multifarious project in India based
on mental depression i.e. ‘Detect Depression Defeat Depression’. As per the statistics,

most of the persons, committing suicide, are suffering from mental depressions. As per
the World Health Organization, within 2020 A.D. it will become one of the most prominent
diseases. About 15 to 20% people of the world generally suffers from mental depression,
in any time of there life. Among Male 10 to 12% & among female 20 to 25% are being
attacked by this. During last 10 years, even the children become affected by same (23%)
symptom. Nearly 4000 people in the world are committing suicide daily, among whom nearly
90 heads are suffering from mental depression.

As a result the quality in working skill & attendance in the working places are
gradually becoming less. Due to world economic crisis, nearly 5 lacks people have
become work less, so 5 lacks families are facing this problem. Moreover there are wars,
natural calamities, terrorism & social inequalities etc. which are also the causes.

Due to mental depression, some chemicals like cartonine & norepineprin become less
in brain. Symptoms of depression appear---sadness, rudeness, fearfulness, lethargy,
frustration, lack of self confidence, disliking any type of sound, sleeplessness, headache, Sex problem, suicidal mentality, lack of concentration in academic carrier, failure in examination, criminal activity, self-centeredness etc.

For remedy, we may practice or listen Raga Music, in a proper manner. If anyone
practices yoga-based Raga Music at least Six months, the process leads to cure all
of those mental depression-based diseases and make happy & create a healthy society.
Recently doctors around the world are thinking about the utility of good habit &
soothing effect of Raga Music.

Starting from common man to Child are now victim of mental agonies.
It is only the Indian raga music that can save them out of this.
The utility of Indian Philosophy,Music & Yoga practice are correlated events & this

Pandit Ashes Sengupta, an exponent of Hindustani Ragas & Raga-based music with uncanny musical vision like all luminaries from his very youth, a torch-bearer of Traditional Hindustani Vocal music , but a strong believer of application of Indian Yoga technique in performing Raga to the global musical arena.
